Caring for your instrument
Each time you play
- Wipe off the rosin from your violin with a soft cloth
- Gently tighten your bow before playing and make sure to loosen your bow afterwards
- Put your violin and bow in your case
Try not to
- Leave your violin in the sun or hot car
- Leave your violin where it can be stepped on, sat on, or knocked oto the floor
- Forget to loosen the bow
- Touch the bow hairs with your fingers or hand
To keep your violin happy
- Change the strings once a year
- On occasions you might want to polish your violin with violin polish
