Caring for your instrument

Each time you play

• Wipe off the rosin from your violin with a soft cloth
• Gently tighten your bow before playing and make sure to loosen your bow afterwards
• Put your violin and bow in your case

Try not to

• Leave your violin in the sun or hot car
• Leave your violin where it can be stepped on, sat on, or knocked oto the floor
• Forget to loosen the bow
• Touch the bow hairs with your fingers or hand

To keep your violin happy

•  Change the strings once a year
• On occasions you might want to polish your violin with violin polish
